HYPER TAPING is the first model from the ISSEY MIYAKE FOOT footwear development project by MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO and ASICS. Reconstructing the iconic “ASICS Stripes” from the ASICS brand and reinterpreting its functional concept as athletic taping. It is the first model featuring ASICS’ wrestling soles, redesigned into a sneaker structure to suit everyday wear. The combination of diverse materials has resulted in footwear that is imbued with both novelty and a universal quality.
